Nathan Youngblood

From Santa Clara Pueblo, he was born in 1954. Nathan first learned to make pottery from his grandmother Margaret Tafoya. While using the techniques he learned from his grandmother, he has expanded the art form through the use of non-traditional design elements. He has drawn inspiration from Asian ceramics, using matte and polished surfaces to accentuate form. Winner of over 44 awards at the Santa Fe Indian Market, Nathan's influence on the art form is undeniable.
